Chapter 26 Problem Help

Hey guys. I'm trying out the book problems and I'm having a difficult time solving #4.

Going by the Giancoli Solutions PDF, the correct answer is supposed to be 53.1 light years. I'm not sure what part I'm not computing properly (or if I'm not using the correct formula). If any of you know how to solve this or have the work, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

Problems Solved from Day 2 of Relativity

I know each table received a problem to do, but by the end of 3rd block we only had 2 of them up on the board.  If you have the worked out solutions and either don't have access to post on this blog or don't want to do it yourself, I will write them out and post them.

It would be great if we could get the entire worksheet on here by the end of the week.

For future worksheets, I would be happy to take your work, upload it, then give it back to you the next day so everyone can see the solutions.

Clearly what we did in class today (2.5.14) was not effective.  If anyone has ideas on ways to make our class problem solving more efficient, they would be greatly appreciated.  Feel free to leave a comment with your suggestions.

Relativity Day 2

This is the worked out problem and solution to problem 1 on "Relativity Worksheet Day 2."  This answer has been verified by several other classmates. 

We are looking for L˚.  This is due to the fact that we are looking out at the spaceship from "our classroom."
